Option A: Route for all
Although it is ideal for beginners to horse riding in Cördoba, this route is suitable for all ages and levels. The route is marked by a path that runs parallel to the river. During the route, you will enjoy different stages in which you will be able to clearly observe and distinguish with ease three different types of landscape.
On the one hand, the lushness of the Guadalquivir riverbank forest, a place where the birds cautiously seek refuge. Then, the most mountainous landscape, the one that gives off at every step a comforting aroma of rockrose and rosemary. A pleasant sensation that will accompany you, as will probably the flight of the Iberian imperial eagle and even the occasional Iberian lynx, which may be watching you from the mastic trees. Last but not least, the beautiful countryside, it is a lush green area in the winter due to the sowing of seeds, and yellowish and golden tones in the summer. A beautiful enclave that provides shelter for steppe birds, such as the stone curlew and the lark.
In addition, you will also pass through the Paraje de la Fuente Agria, here you can refresh yourself with a fountain overflowing with water with a sour taste, hence its name. Once we reach the viewpoint, we will stop to enjoy the views of the impressive views that this point offers us. We are talking about the Castle of Almodóvar del Río, of the Sierras Subbéticas, of Sierra Mágina and even the Sierra de Cazorla. An experience you will be eager to repeat.
Option B: Advanced route
This route offers a very similar route to the previous one. The main difference is that it is recommended for people who have already been on horseback more than once and therefore count on with a certain mastery of the technique.
The itinerary, as we say, is practically the same. Although it may be longer, depending on the skill and level of the clients and participants. Thus, we will pass through the beautiful riverside woodland of the Guadalquivir, and for the most mountainous places of the area, full of aromatic bush plants. We will continue through the cordovan countryside, with its particular charm in each season. We will also make a stop at the Fuente Agria, so that we can all refresh ourselves and rest.
As in option A, this horse riding activity in Cordoba does not end here. We will also be able to enjoy the amazing views from the Castle of Almodóvar del Río. A special way to connect with nature.
